TEAM MANAGER (UTILITY ARBORICULTURE)

We are currently looking for 2 x Team Managers to join our Environmental Division to work in on Utility Arboriculture contracts in the Essex / Hertfordshire/ Suffolk area.
The Team Manager will be take responsibility for work teams on a daily basis ensuring that all teams are managed, organised and motivated to deliver operations to excellent standards of safety, compliance, customer satisfaction and within financial or production targets.
Key Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
· Ensure operations are delivered within agreed budget or planned outputs/productivity and delivery is reported.
· Ensure operations are delivered safely and are compliant with the Companys safe working practices and procedures
· Ensure operations are delivered in accordance with customer specification
· Deliver operations to internal and external standards.
· Maintain excellent customer relationships with a constructive and proactive communication style.
· Implement close out actions from internal or external audits
We are looking for the successful individual to have:
· Minimum 2 years supervisory management experience,ideally gained in a Utilities environment.
· Experience of working in an environment where high emphasis is placed on delivering high quality standards
· The ability to communicate with others and work within well defined parameters. team leadership
· Preferably hold UA1 / UA5
· Good organisational skills & ability to multi-task
· Experience in monitoring Quality and Accuracy in line with Contract expectations

Our client is a family owned landscape and arboricultural contractor based in the west midlands. They undertake work for a range of local authority, commercial and domestic clients and are a quality focused company as shown by their accreditation with CHAS and Construction Line.
The company is looking to employ a climber or groundsman arborist with HGV 1, (C plus E). This role will involve driving the larger lorry to the work site then working as part of the tree gang. Candidates must have NPTCs 30,31 and 38. CS39 would be an advantage. In return a salary of £18,000 is offered plus generous benefits.

Arborist/tree Climber -
Arborist/Tree Climber Salary according to Experience & Qualifications
Location: Langley Park Industrial Estate, near Durham City.
Job Purpose:
The role requires an Arborist Tree Climber with an in depth knowledge and understanding of best arboricultural practices to undertake tree care and arboricultural work both on an individual basis and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Special Conditions:
Time to time requirement for out of hours emergency call outs and occasional weekend working.
Projects are usually undertaken any where in the North East Region but may also involve travel to other parts of the country.
Main Activities:
The post holder will report to the Chargehand/Team Leader and through them to the Works Manager
The following activities describe the main features of the job:
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in undertaking domestic and commercial tree work related projects
To apply safe working practices and use appropriate safety equipment when climbing trees and undertaking required tree surgery
Indentify tree species and problems to advise customers on the appropriate action
Follow plans and contract specifications for Felling and pruning projects
Operate all necessary equipment including Chain Saws, Brushwood chippers and hand tools
Drive Company vehicles as required to transport operatives, equipment and waste products
Maintain an up to date knowledge of best arboricultural practices, including awareness of tree species, associated common diseases and use of equipment.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of safe working practices and associated Health & Safety legislation and Regulations.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with your salary level as directed.

Tree Inspector -
Salary:£19,240-£23,280
Our client is a large city council based in the east midlands. Their busy tree section manages a large council owned tree stock of more than 30,000 trees and provides advice and guidance on matters relating to protected trees. In addition the tree section is responsible for managing the work undertaken by directly employed arboricultural staff.
The council would like to engage a Tree Inspector to undertake a survey of trees on local school sites. Ths work will last for three to four months and involve plotting, risk assessing and specifying remedial works (where required). This will involve the use of a hand held pc and tree management software.
The post is a temporary one due to its short term nature. Candidates must be qualified to ND Arb as a minimum and ideally have previous survey experience. An enhanced CRB check will be necessary. In return a pay rate of £9-£11PH is offered plus annual leave and mileage.

Tree Surveyor -
Our client is a successful consultancy and contracting business based in Oxfordsire. Unusually they own a large commercial nursery as well as providing garden design/landscape architecture, forestry and arboricultural consultancy services. They also employ direct staff who provide a contracting operation in support of the consultancy services.
The company is currently looking to employ a Tree Surveyor to undertake hazard tree surveys or forestry consultancy in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. This would include duty of care inspections of trees on large rural estates as well as management plans for woodlands. Work would be 2/3 days per week. Candidates must be suitably qualified and have a knowledge of hazard tree and woodland management practices.
