Opportunity to work for large AA approved contractor based in west London. Our client undertakes work for a range of clients including local authorities, government agencies, (the Royal Parks), plus commercial organisations and private householders.
Due to an increase in work they are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to help with the day to day running of the business. Reporting to the Manager the position will involve pricing and quoting for work, work programming and monitoring staff. The assistant management will also be responsible for organising machinery and vehicle repairs/servicing as required helping to ensure resources are in place for the tree teams. In addition the Assistant Manager may also be required to undertake 'hands on' duties such as covering for absent staff or completing small works such as stump grinding, spraying, etc. when necessary.
Interested candidates should have at least five years experience within the industry; ideally working as a foreman or team leader and should hold a technical qualification to a minimum level two in arboriculture, (City and Guilds, NC Arb, RFS Certificate). They will now be looking for a role which offers career progression and a move away from full time 'hands on' work. In return our client offers a salary of 30,000-34,000 plus a company vehicle and other benefits.
