A South London Council require a Planning Officer to manager all tree and landscaping matters dealt with under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and Town and Country Planning 2012. Your role will be to advise applicants, agents, Council officers, local residents, stakeholders and Councillors on matters relating to trees and landscaping in respect of planning applications and works to protected trees. Also to provide an assessment of the amenity value of trees at risk and to determine whether a Tree Preservation Order should be made to protect them. and to assess applications for works to protected trees .

Candidates should be qualified to a minimum Level 3 in Arboriculture and ideally have working experience in a similar role . The post is for a minimum of three months. A PAYE rate of 16.71 to 30/hour, based upon experience, for a 36 hour week.
