Celebration of Trees 2007
Reaching new heights

Capel Manor College, Enfield

Capel Manor College's 2007 Celebration of Trees is just around the corner. The first trade event in the calendar year showcasing the best in Arboriculture and the Countryside it's the perfect opportunity to network with fellow industry professionals with FREE entry and FREE prize giveaways.

If you've missed the latest news then here's an outline of what you can expect during the weekend and how you can get involved:

• Book your course now - There are various courses for you to take advantage being provided by the ISA and CAS but spaces are limited so you must pre-book to ensure your space. For full details and rates visit www.isa-uki.org or www.consultingarboristssociety.com

• ISA Student Tree Climbing Competition - Following last year's success the ISA will be holding their Student Tree Climbing competition at Capel Manor once again, sponsored by Vermeer. Colleges are invited to sign up their best climbers for a chance to hit the top spots.

• Lumberjacks - The British Championships of the British Lumberjack Sports Association kick-start their competition once again at Capel Manor, sponsored by Timberwolf.

• The Absolute Arb Company
Over both days instructors from the absolute arb company will be running an open tree climbing workshop for all tree care professionals. This workshop will have on display a range of new equipment on the market and allow arborists to get hands on with the equipment trying new techniques and climbing systems. Instructors will be on hand to offer any advice, guidance, hints or tips to tree care professionals who may have an interest in any of the systems on display.

• Careers and training advice
A new feature to the event will be the opportunity for students to learn about Arboriculture and the Countryside and the career possibilities available to them.

• Recruitment opportunities
As well as the careers and training advice there will be an area where trained professionals, or students coming to the end of their training, can find out about the latest posts available.

• Daily prize giveaways
Each day we're giving away prizes of varying values. Everyone attending the event - which is free for trade - will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win. So far prizes have been donated by Capel Manor College, Danequip UK Ltd, EuroArb, Forestry & British Timber, FR Jones, Fujikura Europe Ltd, Honey Brothers, Just Saws, Larensa, Rustic Mushrooms, Timberwolf and Winchester Garden Machinery.

Bring friends and family with you. With 30 acres of gardens to explore, an animal corner, kid's climb, Tree Spirit activities for kids and a stable yard there'll be plenty to keep them entertained. (Ticket prices for the public: Adults £5, Concessions £4, Children £2 under 3's go free)
