Our client is the UKs largest independent provider of environmental consultancy, rural development services and policy advice. They are looking to employ 1 or 2 UA5 Qualified Utlity Surveyors for 3-6 months work starting January 2016.

The work will involve surveying and consenting tree cutting works adjacent to the 132kV network across the SSE Power Distribution Network area. Candidates would walk the lines and record their findings on hand held pcs with bespoke software and GPS. The project will be the responsibility of a Senior Consultant who will provide appropriate training and day to day management/supervision.
Candidates will be required to have NPTC units UA1 and UA5 and a valid first aid certificate. Previous experience of surveying and consenting tree cutting adjacent to overhead powerlines and specifying tree cutting works including the writing of risk assessments and method statements would be an advantage. Candidates will also need to undertake a one day training course which is specific to the network. A driving licence is essential.
The client is offering 150.50 to 166.50 for an eight hour day (18PH plus 22.50 mileage payment). Possibility to work a longer day (max 9 hours and a four day week). For more information please contact our office.
