Opportunity to work for a large East Midlands local authority's tree section, which has combined with a neighbouring Borough to provide a shared service.They are currently looking for a full time Trees and Landscape Officer, this is a permanent position.
Reporting to the Grounds Services Manager (or equivalent manager within the joint service) , the post holder is to work in conjunction with the Council's Trees Contract Provider and supervise in-house arboricultural staff. They will be responsible for providing comments on landscaping schemes on Development Control applications, surveying and inspecting trees and ordering tree works. Providing specialist tree related advice to internal and external parties and managing and updating the Council TPO portfolio.
Candidates will need to be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in arboriculture and ideally have previous technical experience. LANTRA professional tree inspection would be an advantage. A full driving licence and access to a car for business purposes is essential (mileage paid). Rate of pay between 13.48 and 14.38PAYE They also pay mileage for travel within the council area.
