Our client is a large national engineering provider set up in 2003 as a joint venture by three large plcs to win motorway network and other highway contracts. They currently have awards worth hundreds of millions of pounds. The company is able to provide planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of motorways and trunk roads. Part of the contracts involves the management of the green infra-structure associated with these networks and specifically the associated tree stock.
As a consequence they are looking to employ an Arboricultural and Landscape Inspector to assist with this element of the service delivery in Kent and Sussex. This is a varied and interesting role that will involve working as part of a team of environmental professionals; with specific responsibility for:
1. Undertaking tree inspections for trees on highways and adjoining land; making recommendations for remedial works as necessary,
2. Undertaking landscape assessments; identifying where schemes are failing to meet the criteria,
3. Attending site and other project meetings,
4. Providing technical advice to other teams within the organisation,
5. Dealing with Customer Care enquiries,
The suitable candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in arboriculture and ideally an additional horticultural or landscape qualification. Previous experience of tree surveying and landscape maintenance; ideally adjacent to or near highways is desirable. A full driving licence is essential.
In return our client is offering an attractive salary of up to 29000 pa, 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension and CPD.
