Our client is an established arboricultural consultancy based in Dorset with an extansive client base through out London and the southern counties. Their clients consist primarily of large commercial organisations and government agencies for whom they provide a range of technical services from arboricultural consultancy (including tree protection and root survey) to japanese knotweed survey and control. They have been awarded a small survey contract for a SW London Housing Association and are therefore looking to employ a Tree Surveyor to undertake the work.
The scope of the survey will involve plotting trees using a GIS, undertaking a VTA and recording the details on tree management software. Where required remedial works will need to be specified. Only commmunal trees will be surveyed on the association's land holding; which extends to 150 sites and an estimated 1000 trees.
Candidates must be qualified to level three in arboriculture and ideally have previous technical experience in survey or similar. A LANTRA PTI qualification would be advantagous. Times and days of work are flexible and the work may be available on a part time of full time basis with the proviso that the survey is completed within an agreed timescale of 3-5 weeks. Pay will be based on number of trees surveyed and is likely to be in the range of 1.20 to 1.40.
