Our client is a Borough council based on the Berkshire/Surrey border. Located within the Thames basin it covers an attractive area which includes several affluent market towns. As such they have a significant and highly valued tree stock both on private property and council owned land.
They require an arboriculturalist to cover a planning role within the Arb department. The role will be responsible for processing all issues relating to trees in private gardens within the Borough and is to cover a member of staff who has left.
The role, which will be for an indefinite period, can be spread over a 3 to 5 day week. Candidates must be qualified to a minimum level 3 in arboriculture and ideally have previous technical experience. Rate of pay is dependant upon experience and ranges from 12.50 - 16.00 per hour . In addition a mileage rate is paid for travel within the borough.
