Our client is a local authority in Bedfordshire. They have a busy tree section and are looking to employ another full time Tree Officer. The Tree Officer role is responsible for managing the council tree stock, this will involve taking tree related enquiries from the public, inspecting trees in line with council policy and where appropriate specifying remedial works and carrying out Tree Inspections. They use the Treewise system.
Candidates ideally should have prior technical experience either as a Tree Officer or Tree Inspector and hold a level three or four qualification in arboriculture or closely related subject. However, candidates who have experience within Arboriculture, with a Level 3/4 qualification in Arb and who are looking for their first technical role will also be considered.
The position is initially to be employed on a temporary basis for three months and will then transfer to permanent for the right candidate. Pay rate circa 13-16.00PH PAYE.
