Our client is a large regional facilities management contractor who have been trading for over 40 years in the west country. They provide grounds maintenance, construction, engineering and pest control services. Their client base is primarily commercial and local authority and includes schools, utility companies and main contractors. Within their grounds maintenance they have always offered arboricultural works, but this was sub-contracted. The demand is now so great that they want to establish a two man team to work from their Head Office near Cheltenham providing the service directly.
They are therefore looking to employ a Lead Climber and Second Climber (or Groundsman with aerial rescue). Second Climber must be a have NPTCs for ground use of the saw and climbing and aerial rescue as a minimum. However, preference will be given to candidates with NPTC for aerial use of the saw so that the climbing can be shared/rotated. If the company expands its arboricultural operation there would be the opportunity for the candidate to become a Lead Climber of another team.
In return the company will offer a competitive salary of 17,500 - 20,000 plus paid annual leave and other benefits.
