M Large is a leading importer of forestry and wood processing equipment, supplying wood chippers, forestry trailers, firewood processors, tree shears, log splitters, stump grinders and sawmills to private, commercial and government customers throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to recent expansion and the introduction of new products we now require an additional sales engineer to join our machinery sales division.
Job Description
Based in Newtownabbey it will involve extensive travelling throughout Ireland with overnight stays expected on a regular basis. Travel to England, Scotland and Wales to attend Trade Shows or assist sales activities will be required occasionally.
As well as promoting and selling our products the successful applicant will be expected to provide customers with technical back up and assistance. This may involve repairs or adjustments to equipment.
As part of the Sales Team you will be expected to actively participate in all promotional planning, selection of new products and sales campaigns on an ongoing basis.
Essential requirements.
1) Must have a full, current driving licence.
2) Previous experience selling or hands on maintaining mechanical or hydraulic equipment.
3) Basic IT skills.
4) Good interpersonal skills.
Preferred skills
1) Driving licence. LGV or with entitlement to tow a trailer.
2) Knowledge of forestry or similar equipment.
3) Existing contacts with potential customers.
4) A good geographical knowledge of Ireland.
Product training and backup will be given.
A company vehicle, phone and uniform will be supplied.
