Our client is a South London Borough council. The borough is ethnically diverse, with a young and growing population. They undertake all their the tree maintenance work 'in house' with directly employed staff. They operate several teams of arborists and are currently looking to recruit:
Grounds Operative Vacancy
Working as part of a three man gang you will assist the climbers in undertaking tree work operations to all council owned trees. You will manage the work site at ground level ensuring it is safe and efficient. Candidates must be qualified to CS30 and CS31 as a minimum and ideally have CS38. Other desirable qualifications are chipper and first aid.
Pay rate: 9.29 hour basic (36 hours). Over time at enhanced rates. Annual Leave starts at 28 days and other council benefits. A full job description is available. This will transfer from a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.
