Our client is an established arboricultural consultancy based in Hampshire with an extensive client base throughout London and the southern counties. Their clients consist primarily of large commercial organisations and government agencies for whom they provide a range of technical services from arboricultural consultancy (including tree protection and root survey) to japanese knotweed survey and control.
They have developed a knotweed control programme which has been endorsed by mortgage lenders (the presence of knotweed can affect lending by banks/building societies) and as a consequence this service is in great demand. With the growing season about to begin they are looking to employ an Environmental Technician to undertake this work in London and the South East. This will involve undertaking contracts for knotweed control; either through chemical application or organising complete dig outs on development sites. The role will also involve site inspections and assisting with pricing.
Candidates should have PA1 and PA6a and a driving licence (Cat B). An arboricultural or horticultural qualification to level 2 and/or previous experience of knotweed control would be an advantage, but are not essential. The position could be undertaken on either a full time directly employed basis or on a part time contract basis for 3-4 days per week from May to October. In return they offer an attractive rate of pay (10.00-12.50PH) to be discussed at interview, plus the opportunity to develop your role within the company as this service grows in turnover and area of operation.
