About the job
Crestwood Environmental Ltd. are seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to undertake tree surveys, initially for a three month period, with the potential for the position to become permanent with good potential for supported professional development. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential skills:
Relevant (ground level) tree inspection / hazard risk management / arboricultural assessment experience;
Relevant qualification (e.g. Arboricultural Associations level 3 or higher, LANTRA Tree Inspection);
Sound ability to quickly and accurately identify tree species;
Able to undertake tree assessments in accordance with BS 5837:2012;
Able to identify and interpret key signs and symptoms of ill health and structural failure;
Able to specify appropriate remedial works within associated risk-based time scales;
Have a current UK driving licence and access to own vehicle; and
Good communicator, self-disciplined and able to proactively manage time to meet deadlines.
Preferred skills:
Experience of using data base and GIS or similar software; and
Qualified and able to undertake aerial inspections.
