GreenMech Ltd was formed in 1993 specifically to develop, manufacture and market a range of wood chippers and green waste shredders. With a wealth of experience in all areas and with around 40,000 sq/ft of manufacturing space have the facility to develop opportunities at home and abroad. GreenMech Ltd has recognised a broadening customer base and developed a range of products to suit every application; from the small pedestrian CS-100 which will chip up to 100mm of wood and hedge trimmings, to larger towed, tracked or even tractor mounted machines like the CM220MT55 with 220mm capacity designed to handle the seriously big jobs. A popular combination chipper/shredder unit is also available that has a 150mm chipper along with a 50mm power fed shredder, this unit appeals to the local authorities and contractors that have a large amount of mixed green waste to handle.
In 2005 GreenMech were awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade and a second Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2009, for the development of the Safe Trak system used on all the GreenMech tracked chippers.
Since the summer of 2007 GreenMech have set about a re-structure and expansion plan
to cope with new product development and to manage the increase in demand for chippers. As part of the re-structure, GreenMech have revisited the procurement route of some of its components and unlike most chipper manufactures fabricate, machine, paint, assemble and test within one facility enabling GreenMech to provide good quality control, excellent parts support and ultimately control of pricing.
